A Home for My Neighbor is a nonprofit initiative started by Love Thy Neighbor Solutions that brings volunteers together to build homes for individuals who have made positive contributions to their community but haven’t been able to afford a home of their own. Modeled after the success of Habitat for Humanity, A Home for My Neighbor provides both training and supervision to ensure that each home is built to the highest standards and complies with local building codes.

Volunteers who participate in the program not only get the satisfaction of giving back but also learn valuable construction skills while forming lasting friendships. The homes built through this program are sold at a significant discount to market value, allowing recipients to own a home for less than the cost of renting. Love Thy Neighbor Solutions provides capital to purchase the land and materials, while donors and additional sponsors help support the program’s growth.

The recipients of these homes are chosen based on referrals, with a focus on those who have served their communities in meaningful ways but have struggled to purchase a home. A Home for My Neighbor is more than just a building project—it’s a way to uplift those who have given so much to others.
